This painting captures the raw energy and moody atmosphere of the Irish Sea, where turbulent waves crash forcefully against the rugged shoreline. Inspired by my visit to the beautiful beaches of Donegal. 

The sea is a mix of deep slate blues and stormy greens, its surface churned by restless winds. White foam explodes upward with each crashing wave, giving a sense of movement and power. The sky above is heavy with mist and soft grays, hinting at an approaching storm or the fading light of a late afternoon. There’s a wild, untamed beauty to the scene—a moment suspended between chaos and calm, reflective of the dramatic nature of Ireland’s coastal waters.
