Kim Gaffney’s love of art began in childhood where she was constantly drawing and creating. She studied art for her Leaving Certificate and then went on to a different path and became an Occupation Therapist. Kim took up art again in 2017 when her youngest child was born. She took art classes with the well known Meath Artist Henry McGrane and never looked back. In 2022 she set up Kim Gaffney Art and developed her own website. She sells original art, limited edition prints and textiles online.

Kim had her first solo Art Exhibition, ‘Bringing Nature In’, in Oldcastle Library, Co Meath in November 2021.

In 2022 she was selected by the Cavan Arts Office to have an exhibition in The Cavan County Museum, entitled ‘The Four Seasons’.

She was awarded the Townhall scholarship in 2023 by The Cavan Arts office in conjunction with The Townhall in Co Cavan.
