Snow Patrol- Original Oil Painting

Badgers don’t hibernate but are less active in winter, often spending days underground during bad weather. Cubs stay with their mother until autumn or winter, becoming independent after about 16 weeks. If you look very closely at this oil painting you can see a badger cub emerging out of the snow to the right of its mother. I love the idea of her checking her surroundings, before letting her cub out of the sett. Hence the name 'Snow patrol'
