Sionnach Rua - Original Oil Painting

This original oil painting is of the Irish Fox and is one of three 'portal' paintings in my new collection. The fox looks intelligent and cunning. It's vibrant red stands out in the forest. It is painted on a handcrafted canvas and frame, in a window shape that is custom made in County WestMeath, grounding the work materially in the local landscape where its subject matter is drawn. 

This enhances the view of the painting as a symbolic portal, inviting the viewer to look beyond the surface of the image into a liminal, otherworldly dimension. Framed with gold finish for a sophisticated feel.
