A special piece within Croí na Coille, Night Watch captures one of Ireland's most intelligent and elusive wild creatures at the moment it emerges from the darkness. Illuminated against a deep black background, the fox appears almost three-dimensional, its amber coat glowing as though caught by the last light of dusk.

Throughout this collection, I wanted to celebrate the quiet beauty of the wildlife that surrounds us—those fleeting encounters that stop us in our tracks and remind us of the magic that still exists in our woodlands and countryside. Night Watch embodies that feeling. The darkness conceals as much as it reveals, drawing you into the painting and inviting a closer connection with the fox's calm, watchful presence.
